Her rapturous liaison with Darcy has had disastrous consequences for Austen's characters -- not to mention millions of Pride and Prejudice fans! Flip has twenty-four hours to put the story back on course, and Magnus Knightley, a sexy but imperious scholar whose brooding good looks and infuriating arrogance are decidedly Darcy-like, is the only one who can help. The only problem is, Flip can't keep her hands off him, either....

This was an enjoyable read. The Premise was fun and different, getting a massage and being transported into a book and "changing" the story. But things go very wrong and when Allison awakes, she finds that the actual book is being re-written based on her experiences.

Naturally she has to try and rectify this along with the unwanted help from a current day professor of literature. Fun ensures.

I can't say that I'm now a devoted reader of Gwyn Cready, her writing style is still a little unpolished and her plot lines could be tighter. For example little knowledge is given to the person giving the massage and we just take it on faith that its there to make the story work instead of woven into the story. Still, very innovative and I will definitely check out her next book.

Texans love God, family, and football, though not always in that order

Zach, a former pro star, knows all about football. As for the other two, well, he's doing his best. But when Adele comes charging back into his life—still all lush curves and beautiful, big blue eyes—he wonders if his best is good enough. After all, he did her wrong. Can a woman with her track record ever really believe that he's serious this time . . . or is he destined to be another bad date?

Another Rachel Gibson book, and this one is pretty good. Not memorable but good. worth a read, but nowhere near her best.

Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich

Their attraction grows in leaps and bounds, especially when everyone they meet thinks they're married. C.J. Critt keeps the action moving and the laughter flowing as Megan and Pat care for the baby, the rabbit, and each other's hearts. Critt's warm performance recounts a joint Thanksgiving, including an especially warm kitchen, and a romp through the town's historic village.

A short novel from Janet Evanovich. Its chock with her usual brand of humor and wit. Not very deep or memorable but a fun and enjoyable read. Perfect for lifting your spirits for a few hours.

Hot Mama

Hot Mama by Jennifer Estep

By day, Fiona Fine is a successful couture designer, catering to the high society players of Bigtime, New York. By night, she's Fiera, a member of the heroic Fearless Five who can create and manipulate fire with her bare hands.

Fiona's personal life, though, isn't so hot. She still misses her fiancŽ, who was killed by ubervillains a year ago. Still, men admire Fiona's smoking assets, and she decides to get back in the dating game- especially after she meets Johnny Bulluci. But this notorious playboy has plenty of secrets to go along with his sexy smile. And, with two new ubervillains in town who are intent on raising hell, Fiona's love life might just crash and burn.

This was a fun, fast and enjoyable read. The humor in the book goes very well with its story line of Superheroes parody. Initially Fiona Fine takes a little getting used to, she comes off as bitchy and cold, but as the story develops you start to see why she's the way she is and that she does have a softer side. Johnny Bulluci however takes no time to fall in love with and very quickly you just want the both of them to get on with it and they don't disappoint.

A highly entertaining read, I only had some problems with certain plot lines where Johnny is too bullheaded to listen to reason and constantly seeks revenge. Also as superheroes, they are kind of misfits. In one scene, Johnny and Fiona have the ubervillain down but instead of dealing with her they engage in an all out fight allowing the villain to escape. Furthermore the book enforces the view that superheroes protect and should not seek to kill the villains hence the conflict between Johnny and Fiona. Personally, I have no problems with vigilantes, Batman does it and that's good enough for me.
