The Millionaire's Inexperienced Love-Slave

The Millionaire's Inexperienced Love-Slave by Miranda Lee
Adrian Palmer, a millionaire architect, always had a beautiful woman in his bed. When he met Sharni Johnson, a pretty young widow, she seemed perfect for his wicked brand of seduction. And wicked it was; he was blown away by the intensity of their lovemaking.

But Sharni was not a one-night-stand kind of girl. Adrian was prepared to do anything to have her—but there was one problem: he was the spitting image of Sharni's late husband….

The synopsis seemed interesting but while the first half of the book was promising, the latter half was a disappointment interms of character development and plot. Lover all a fair read.

I rate this book a 3/5

Shattered by the CEO

Shattered by the CEO by Emilie Rose
CEO Rand Kincaid had never been coerced—until his entire future was at stake. Under the stipulations of his father's will, Rand had to rehire Tara Anthony as his assistant. It was either get along with the one woman who'd dared to leave him first, or lose his family empire.

But before Tara would accept, she gave Rand her own demands. She wanted a second chance, with Rand back in her home and bed as her lover. And nothing prepared him for where this arrangement would lead.

An enjoyable read, the plot's a little thin (but then this is a "red book"). Overall I like the author's writing style and her characters are likable. I'll definitely be watching out for the 2 siblings in "The Payback Affairs" series.

The Frenchman's Marriage Demand

The Frenchman's Marriage Demand by Chantelle Shaw
This is what I classify as a RedBook. I refer to all such series (eg. Harlequin Blaze, Silhouette Desire, Harlequin Intrigue and other monthly series books as RedBooks. They are cheaper, shorter and not books in and off themselves, but short reads.
Two years ago, Freya Addison fell for sexy billionaire Zac Deverell. He gave her everything money could buy, and more pleasure in the bedroom than she'd thought possible. But when Freya announced she was pregnant, Zac threw her out.

Now she'll become his wife!

When they meet again, the passion between them is as strong as ever. Zac whisks Freya away to Monaco and back to his bed, where he'll get his answers! If the baby is his, he'll make Freya his wife….

Amazon has a short excerpt.

I liked the premise but Freya is a complete doorstep. For about 3/4 of the book you just want to smack her and say grow a backbone and buy your self a vibrator. Seriously, the minute she see's Zac Deverell, she basically get's so hot and bothered she can't think. And no matter how badly he treats her she forgives him.

If you can over look that little character flaw, its an ok read.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Author: Cathy Yardley
This is what I classify as a RedBook. I refer to all such series (eg. Harlequin Blaze, Silhouette Desire, Harlequin Intrigue and other monthly series books as RedBooks. They are cheaper, shorter and not book in and off themselves, but short reads.

Synopsis:
Wanted: Hot holiday fling with an out-of-towner (sort of)

Is jet-setting, supermodel-bedding hottie Colin Reeves actually home for the holidays? That's the rumor this Christmas. And now he's desperate for something only wholesome Emily Stanfield can provide: a room at her inn.

But Emily's tired of her choir-girl rep. Sex-ravenous and determined, she's facing a tantalizing dilemma: can she entice Colin to some holiday cheer under the sheets—and trust him to secrecy after the deal is done? Because one slip and everybody will be gossiping about Tall Pine's poster girl having the delicious Colin.

Unless, of course, one steamy night turns into something even these folks couldn't predict…

I loved this book. If you watched Gilmore Girls, Sleepy Hollow is what this town is modeled after. Insert a boy who could not wait to leave the small town and grew to be a hot hunk who is now a jet setting Architect and you have the Hero. Emily is the golden girl of the town who turned her family home into an inn, and aside from her college years has never left the town.

The book is fast paced and even the supporting characters standout in this book. The chemistry and sex between Colin and Emily is hot and frequent, and even the plot stands up and is a step above the typical RedBook tripe.

I hope Ms. Yardley continues to write about the inhabitants of this town. It has such potential.
