I won't say much about this book. Its simply amazing and fabulous and hands down, one of the BEST romances I've read all year. Get it, read it and wait impatiently for the next book in the series.

The Fortune Hunter

The Fortune Hunter by Jasmine Haynes
It appears that insecure heiress Faith Castle's dreams of having a baby are close to coming true. She's finally been proposed to! But Connor Kingston happens to be as honest as he is handsome, making plain that his offer is purely a career move. A marriage of convenience is far from romantic, but Faith agrees- after all, she's getting what she wants as well. She has only one caveat: she requires his absolute fidelity. But her randy fiancŽ wants to be free to come and go. What transpires is the sexiest and most unpredictable love story of the season.

I was hesitant about the premise, a male gold digger after a plain rich woman. Hmmm.... but the plot is not quite so cut and dried. He's upfront about everything, she's not really plain, just not super skinny as dictated by our fashion magazines. and the chemistry between the 2 of them is very very hot.

I highly recommend this book and will definitely read more books from Jasmine Haynes.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving by Janet Evanovich
One autumn day Megan Murphy meets Pat Hunter, the handsome owner of a rabbit--who eats dresses. Hunter, the new pediatrician, is given an infant to care for, and Megan falls for both of them. Their attraction grows in leaps and bounds, especially when everyone they meet thinks they're married. C.J. Critt keeps the action moving and the laughter flowing as Megan and Pat care for the baby, the rabbit, and each other's hearts. Critt's warm performance recounts a joint Thanksgiving, including an especially warm kitchen, and a romp through the town's historic village.

A short novel from Janet Evanovich. Its chock with her usual brand of humor and wit. Not very deep or memorable but a fun and enjoyable read. Perfect for lifting your spirits for a few hours.

The Third Circle

The Third Circle (Arcane Society, Book 4) by Amanda Quick
Leona Hewitt, disguised in men’s formal evening clothes, has secretly made her way into Lord Delbridge’s private museum to retrieve a relic stolen from her family. But someone else is in the dimly lit gallery on the same errand: a tall, blackcloaked man whose very voice is enough to cause her to fall into a trance.

Thaddeus Ware, a mesmerist with psychic gifts, is accustomed to fearful reactions from others—women, in particular. After all, a man who can control the minds of others could rob a lady of her virtue—completely unbeknownst to her. But Leona shows no trace of hysteria in his presence. A gifted crystal worker, she exerts a rather hypnotic power over the hypnotist himself. And she is determined to keep the coveted crystal they manage to recover by giving him the slip at a run-down London inn.

Thaddeus, on assignment for the Arcane Society, knows the menace Leona is courting by absconding with the crystal. A source of remarkable energy, it holds the potential for great destruction. Lord Delbridge has already killed to acquire the crystal, his key to membership in the elite, shadowy group known as the Third Circle. And, with the help of a ruthless hunter of preternatural skill—dubbed the Midnight Monster by the press—Delbridge intends to find Leona. With the stolen crystal in their possession, the danger is only beginning.

The Arcane Society series by Amanda Quick is unique in that it could be either a historical or contemporary novel. But always with a paranormal sub-plot. I personally love the series and Amanda Quick's writing is excellent as always.

In this installment, Leona Hewitt is a woman with the power over crystals, and meets up with Thaddeus Ware who is a master hypnotist. Both are "level 10's" meaning among the most powerful on the arcane society's rating power scale. A wonderful read and highly recommended if you enjoyed the previous Arcane novels.

The Darkest Night

The Darkest Night by Gena Showalter
All her life, Ashlyn Darrow has been tormented by voices from the past. To end the nightmare, she has come to Budapest seeking help from men rumored to have supernatural abilities, not knowing she’ll be swept into the arms of Maddox, their most dangerous member – a man cursed to die every night, only to awaken the next morning knowing he has to die again later.

Neither can resist the instant hunger that calms their torments. . .and ignites an irresistible passion. But every heated touch and burning kiss will edge them closer to destruction—and a soul-shattering test of love . . . .

I finished this book in one sitting. Its a very interesting storyline, a group of immortal warriors who used to guard the gods were slighted when the responsibility for guarding a box (Pandora's box) that houses great demons is bestowed upon a female warrior named Pandora. In revolt, they try to gain control of the box, but end up losing it and releasing the demons within. Because the box is now lost, their punishment is to house each of the demons within themselves. A curse they have carried till now.

There has been an upset in the heavens, the titans have escaped captivity and enslaved the gods (greek). A new order is coming to pass. And it seems... things are changing for the cursed warriors as well.

I loved the plot, and cannot wait to read the next novels. As a first novel it did an admirable job of introducing the world and the players. The romance is also decent and endearing. I think this is a must read for paranormal fans.

If she succeeds, she wins enough funds to secure her own future. If he wins . . . she'll be his. Daniel has never been so tempted—and he has no intention of losing . . .

A decent historical romance. Its best assent is that Gayle Callen is a good writer and made the story flow smoothly. A good read but non very memorable.

The Great Cock Hunt by Alex

The cover is awesome, the title is enticing, what about the actual book? I would say that its decent. Its got more of a solid plot line that Mark Stone: Secret Agent and reads a little like a blog because that's where the author started out from.

Overall an interesting read and hot. I would say its an interesting experiment in novel writing.

Mark Stone: Secret Agent

In the shadowy world of international espionage, there exists one man who stands between the western civilization and the dark forces that threaten to destroy it. A man with drop-dead looks and come-to-bed eyes, whose weapon is always loaded and who knows exactly where and when to use it. A man whose existance is denied by the British Intelligence, but who is always called upon first wherever trouble looms. A man who secretly protects his Queen and country from disaster, and whose services are immediately enlisted when the famous Germaan chemist, Heinz Kriechbaum, is kidnapped by the revolutionary "Crimson Army", threatening the entire world with chemical annihilation. That man is: Mark Stone: Secret Agent.

Mark Stone: Secret Agent by Marc Holland

I bought this book with one main reason, because it sounded fun, a gay 007 with tons of sex. The sex part was delivered but aside from that, I'm sad to say the plot was ... a string of sexual encounters with a flimsy plot tying the whole thing together.

Its hot but buy it knowing that the plot is very very weak.

Janice Maynard has put together an excellent collection of stories that mesh well together. Her characters are always extremely likeable and so well-suited that you can't help but give them a mental push towards each other.

Play With Me by Janice Maynard

Let's face it 3 stories loosely based on a pact that 3 friends made to indulge in their deepest and naughtiest fantasuest before their 30th birthday, all the 3 stories are about fulfilling that fantasy and happily ever after. The book is hot and highly recommended.

Fairyville by Emma Holly

Every Emma Holly book is a must read for all erotica fans. In Fairyville this is especially true if you also like M/M romance. There are 2 love stories here. One is a M/M and the other a M/W relationship.

If you know Emma Holly then there's 2 way, 3 way and everything in between. Magus is male but he's a fairy so sex is in his blood, Alex the other main guy is 1/2 fairy even though he does not know it. Hot is an understatement. If you like erotica then this is a must read.

Dark Needs at Night's Edge

Néomi Laress, a famous ballerina from a past century, became a phantom the night she was murdered. Imbued with otherworldly powers but invisible to the living, she haunts her beloved home, scaring away trespassers -- until she encounters a ruthless immortal even more terrifying than Néomi herself.

A VAMPIRE WARRIOR CONSUMED BY MADNESS...

To prevent him from harming others, Conrad Wroth's brothers imprison him in an abandoned manor. But there, a female only he can see seems determined to drive him further into madness. The exquisite creature torments him with desire, leaving his body racked with lust and his soul torn as he finds himself coveting her for his own.

HOW FAR WILL HE GO TO CLAIM HER?

Yet even if Conrad can win Néomi, evil still surrounds her. Once he returns to the brutality of his past to protect her, will he succumb to the dark needs seething inside him?

Dark Needs at Night's Edge by Kresley Cole

I've steered clear of Ms. Cole's books because there'ss a huge glut of Vampire novels on the market. And most are not that good. The main reason for reading this one is because the cover was very enticing, and the sypnosis was interesting. A ghost and a mad vampire? Hmmm...

I'm glad to report that the world that Ms. Cole created is very interesting and this book in particular was excellent. I loved the premise and was root for both Neomi and Conrad. The plot line was a little shaky towards the end but its perked my interest enough to want to read more about this world with its myriad of immortals.

Enticed

Special ops agent Dillon Gavin is taking a break from his demanding schedule when his life takes an unexpected-and complicated-turn. Her name is Jordan Kane, a beautiful artist. Legally blind, she paints with her inner eye- which affords her an uncanny, and sometimes breathtaking, clairvoyance. What she sees in Dillon-comfortable in an unpredictable world of intrigue, espionage, and brute violence-is the kind of man that an artistic, gentle soul like Jordan never experienced before. Her sixth sense tells her that Dillon wants her. Her common sense says stay away. But from his first sensuous touch in the dark comes an irresistible urge that dares to take Jordan where's she's never gone before.

Enticed by Kathleen Dante

I've always had a soft spot for stories where one of the characters was blind. for an erotica this was definitely a change. More-over this book had secret agents and psychics and magic. I was instantly hooked.

This is a must read and a definite 5/5 all the way. This is my first Kathleen Dante book but not my last. I can't wait to read more of her books and I hope she sets it in the same rich world that she's created.

Suddenly You

In this feisty and frolicsome historical, Kleypas (Where Dreams Begin, etc.) proves that turning 30 can signal the beginning of an exciting new decade, even for a 19th-century spinster. Free-thinking Amanda Briars, who writes scandalous tales of romance and intrigue, has resigned herself to a life of solitude, but she feels that her lack of a husband shouldn't preclude her from being intimate with a man just once. On the night of her clandestine meeting with a male prostitute, however, handsome and unscrupulous publishing tycoon Jack Devlin appears at her door instead. Mistaking Jack for the man that she sent for, Amanda shares an amorous moment with him before she recovers her senses and pushes him out the door. One week later, Amanda encounters her nighttime visitor at a London soiree and is mortified to learn that he is her new publisher. A series of delightful exchanges follows as the two attempt to reconcile their need for independence and their growing passion for each other. Although both Amanda and Jack are fully developed characters, it is Jack, the half-Irish bastard son of a lord, who truly shines as he struggles to overcome his dark past. Brisk pacing, witty repartee and memorable protagonists will ensure that Kleypas's newest is well received.

Suddenly You by Lisa Kleypas

I simply loved this book. Lisa Kleypas is an amazing writer and while this is a historical romance, its not about the nobility which is actually a plus. I highly recommend this book, Jack is a character that simply shines, definitely worth a 2nd read soon.
